Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect as little as a service can. Your picks, results and settings live on your own device. The only personal details we hold are what you give us when you join the founding-members list, and we use Google Analytics to see how the site is used.

What we collect

In the app: your access-code status, theme choice and settings are stored in your browser's local storage — on your device, never sent to us. Our host (GitHub Pages) keeps standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, pages requested) to run the service, as every website's host does.

If you join the founding-members list: we collect your first name, email address and region, and your consent to be emailed. We store this in our own records (a Google-hosted spreadsheet) and use it only to send you racing results and launch news. You can unsubscribe, or ask us to delete it, at any time.

Site analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — visits, pages viewed, and roughly where visitors come from. It sets cookies and shares standard, aggregated usage data with Google as our analytics provider. It measures site usage; it does not track your betting.

When paid subscriptions launch: your email address and subscription status, plus payment handled entirely by our payment provider (such as Stripe) — we never see or store your card details.

What we never do

We don't sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing. We don't track your betting, and we don't run advertising or retargeting trackers.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you may ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. If you're on the founding-members list, email us (or use the unsubscribe link in any email) and we'll remove you. Anything held only on your device is cleared by removing the app.
